Nationwide Projects
Nationwide lightning protection for larger projects
We're a family-owned business based in Texas, and the Linzy family has installed lightning rods for three generations. For larger projects, we travel anywhere in the country to do the installation ourselves.
Projects We Travel For
Lightning rod installation for commercial and farm projects, wherever they are
Most of our work is in Dallas-Fort Worth and rural Texas. When a project is big enough to make the trip worthwhile, we load up and come to you. We serve Texas and Oklahoma, with our sister company covering Utah. Larger projects in neighboring states (New Mexico, Arkansas, Louisiana, Kansas, Colorado) by request, and farther out case by case. Call (682) 490-2850.
Commercial & industrial buildings
Offices, warehouses, plants, and shops, with the system laid out around the roof, parapets, and rooftop equipment.
Farms & ranches with multiple buildings
Barns, outbuildings, shops, grain bins, and the farmhouse, planned together so the whole place is covered in one trip.
Churches & steeples
A steeple is often the tallest point in town. We take care with the roof and with how the building looks when we're done.
Schools & campuses
Classroom buildings, gyms, and campuses where a lot of people gather under one roof.
Historic buildings
Older buildings call for a light touch: neat conductor routing and respect for the materials and details that make the building what it is.
Multi-building properties
Campuses, ranch headquarters, and business properties where several structures need protection and a grounding plan that ties together.
How It Works
How a nationwide project works
Clear communication and clean workmanship from the first call to the final walkthrough.
Send photos or plans
Email photos of the buildings, or architectural drawings if you have them, along with the address and any deadlines you're working with.
Get a remote estimate
Joe looks over what you send, calls with any questions, and gives you a clear estimate before anyone travels.
Schedule the trip
We settle on dates that fit your schedule or your construction timeline, and plan the travel around them.
We travel in and install
We come to the site, install the system with care for your roof and buildings, and walk you through it when it's done.
Why we travel for bigger jobs
Lightning protection is specialized work, and in a lot of places there aren't many people who do it. A bigger project, like a church with a tall steeple or a ranch with several barns, deserves to be done right, even if that means a long drive.
Every system is planned around your structure and local conditions, with the goal of following recognized industry standards such as NFPA 780.
Is your project a good fit?
We travel for larger work: several buildings, a big roof, a tall structure, or a property where it makes sense to protect everything in one trip. If you're not sure, call anyway. We'll give you a straight answer about whether the trip makes sense for you.
Here in Texas, see our commercial lightning protection and farm and ranch lightning protection pages, or all the Texas areas we serve.
For Contractors & Design Teams
General contractors, architects, and electrical engineers
If you're bidding a project that calls for lightning protection, we'd be glad to price that part of it. Send the drawings and specs, and we'll go over the lightning protection scope and get you a number for your bid.
We can work around your schedule and coordinate with your roofer and electrician, so air terminals, conductors, and grounding go in at the right points in construction.
Email plans and specs to jlinzy@myyahoo.com, or call (682) 490-2850.
FAQ
Nationwide project FAQ
Do you really travel outside Texas?
Yes. We're based in Texas, but for larger projects we'll travel anywhere in the country to do the installation.
What kinds of projects do you travel for?
Commercial and industrial buildings, farms and ranches with multiple barns and outbuildings, churches and steeples, schools, historic buildings, and properties with several buildings. If you're not sure your project is a fit, call and ask.
How can you give an estimate without seeing the property?
Photos and plans tell us a lot: roof size and shape, building heights, and how the buildings sit on the property. Joe looks over what you send and calls with any questions before giving you an estimate.
Do you work with general contractors and engineers?
Yes. We're glad to price the lightning protection scope on projects you're bidding and to coordinate with the other trades on scheduling.
What standards are your systems designed to?
Every system is planned around the structure and local conditions, with the goal of following recognized industry standards such as NFPA 780.
